Privacy Policy

Scope
This document applies to WotPan AI on every platform it is offered on: mobile apps (Android and iOS), the web, and the desktop versions to come, together with the services they use (the "Service").
What we collect
You can edit in WotPan AI without an account; exporting or saving to your gallery asks you to sign in. We never receive your photos, videos, projects, profile or settings, except your profile photo when you're signed in (below). The app sends the anonymous usage statistics described below, which you can turn off, and shows one Google AdMob banner while a video exports (Advertising, below).
If you sign in with Google (needed to export or save to your gallery), Google tells WotPan's server your Google account ID, email address, name and profile photo link, and we keep them, with when you signed in and your WotPan ID (so it's the same on every device), to run your account. Signed in, your Google name and email also fill in your nickname and contact email on the phone, unless you've set your own. We don't get your Google password, contacts or anything else from Google. Sign out any time; Settings → Manage Account → Deactivate or delete account erases the account from our server at once.
The web editor on our website asks you to sign in, with Google (the same details as above) or with your email address and a password. A one-time code we email you confirms the address when you sign up or reset your password. For email, we keep the address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself) and when you signed in. Delete a web account from the website (your profile → Delete account), in the app, or by emailing support@wotpan.com.
Your profile photo, while you're signed in: the photo you choose in the app (Edit profile) or on the website (Profile → Change photo) is kept with your account, as a small 256 × 256 picture in WotPan's storage on Cloudflare R2, so it shows wherever you sign in. Anyone with its link can see it, as with a Google profile photo. Remove it (remove the app's profile photo, or Remove photo on the website) and it's deleted from our server; deleting the account deletes it too.
Anonymous app statistics
To know how many people use WotPan AI, the app sends WotPan's own server anonymous usage statistics: a random ID made on your phone when the app is first opened (not a phone or advertising ID), the platform (Android or iOS), the app version, your phone's region setting, and when the app is opened, in use and closed. From the connection, the server works out only the country.
They never include your name, email, profile, photos, videos, projects, prompts or what you edit, aren't used for advertising, and aren't shared or sold. Turn them off in Settings → Share anonymous usage statistics. Deleting your account gives the app a new random ID, unlinked from the old one.
We also see anonymous totals the app stores (Google Play, App Store) report, such as installs and crash rates.
Advertising
In the Android and iOS apps, Google AdMob shows one banner ad on the export screen while a video is being exported. There are no full-screen or video ads, and no ads anywhere else (the web editor has none).
To show and measure that ad, Google may collect your device's advertising ID (or other device identifiers), your IP address, and how you interact with the ad (views and taps), under Google's own policy: see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. WotPan never sends Google your photos, videos, projects, prompts, profile or account.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks first whether ads may be personalised, and no ad is requested until you answer. Change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy options. Elsewhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your phone's settings.
What stays on your device
Your projects and their media, drafts, brand kit (logos, colours, fonts), profile (name, photo, bio, gender, links, WotPan username, email, linked accounts), blocked users and settings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device (the profile photo also with your account while you're signed in, above).
What is sent, and to whom
- AI image generator: your prompt is sent to Pollinations (image.pollinations.ai), a third-party service, which returns the image. Don't put personal information in prompts.
- Cloud AI tools (AI remove, cutout, AI expand and AI style, when the cloud is turned on): the photo, and any area you marked, are sent to WotPan's server, which has Replicate process them. WotPan's server doesn't store them; Replicate keeps requests and results only briefly, under its own policy.
- GIF stickers: your search words are sent to GIPHY.
- Music and sound effects: your searches are sent to Openverse (openverse.org, by WordPress); previews stream from Jamendo or Freesound, and a track you add is downloaded into your project.
- Web editor (on our website): the videos, photos and sounds you import stay in your browser and are never uploaded, and exports are made in your browser. Library music and sound effects stream from Jamendo or Freesound through WotPan's server, so the editor can play and record them: our server only passes the request on (it doesn't log or store it), and Jamendo or Freesound see our server's request, not your address.
- Sign in with Google (optional): your Google account ID, email, name and photo link go to WotPan's server (hosted on CloudWot) to run your account; Google handles the sign-in itself under its own policy. While signed in, your profile photo (256 × 256) is kept with your account in WotPan's storage on Cloudflare R2, so your account shows it on our website.
- Sign in on our website (with Google, or email and password): the same account details, or for email your address and a one-way hash of your password, go to WotPan's server. The code that confirms your email (when you sign up or reset your password) is sent through CloudWot's mail service, which sees your address only to deliver it. Your browser remembers your sign-in.
- Downloads only (nothing of yours is sent): speech models for captions and the vocal separation model for Vocal remover (from Hugging Face), translation models (Google ML Kit) and text fonts (Google Fonts).
Your gallery and permissions
With your permission, WotPan AI reads the photos and videos you choose and saves exports to the "WotPan AI" album. The microphone is used only while you record. Each permission is asked for when it's first needed, and you can withdraw it in your device settings.
Children
WotPan AI isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device, you control it directly: delete projects in Projects, erase your profile in Settings → Manage Account, or uninstall the app to remove everything it stored. For questions or requests under the law that applies to you (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), write to us.
Changes
If we change how data is handled, we'll update this policy and its date, and show important changes in the app.
